Natural soda ash is an alkali chemical refined from trona ore, and it is also known as sodium carbonate or soda carbonate. Soda ash is a non-toxic, non-flammable, and incombustible chemical, and it comes in an odourless powder form. It is available in three distinct grades, which are washing soda, light soda ash, and dense soda ash.
Chemical properties are the same; only physical characteristics are different. Light soda ash is used as a pH regulator in various industrial processes, and washing soda is utilised in washing detergents and soaps to enhance their cleaning abilities.
The trade name for soda ash (Na2CO3) is a white, powdered, anhydrous material. Soda ash is used in the manufacturing of detergents, glass, and other industrial products.
While manufacturing Soda Ash light, other byproducts also produce caustic soda, sodium tripolyphosphate, sodium sulfite, and sodium bicarbonate.
